 Abstract

Today Libraries are facing a drastic change in their functioning and collections. A paradigm shift from print resources to electronic resources in the recent years has greatly impacted both libraries and the users. Library professionals are facing myriad of challenges in managing these electronic resources such as e-books, e-journals and other continuously changing electronic formats of the collection. Many of the academic libraries follow the steps of electronic resource management such as selection, acquisition, access, evaluation and renewal using in-house ILMS (Integrated Library Management Software). Most of the libraries does not possess any proper ERMS software for the management of the acquired e-resources. This research paper focuses on the acquisition management of e-resources in the libraries and various challenges faced by the library professionals during acquisition of e-resources. It also highlights the opportunities and various trends in the acquisition process.

 Abstract

This study was Impact of use Social Media and Academic Achievement of Senior Secondary School Students. The sample was total sample size of 200 students was randomly selected, as the sample is divided into male and female students of senior secondary schools. Self-made Questionnaire of use Social media and academic percentages of previous year of academic achievement have used. The results revealed that a significant difference was found in the use of social media between male and female students of senior secondary school. A significant difference was found in the use of academic achievement between male and female students of senior secondary school.

Measures to facilitate trade also help to lessen corruption at border crossings, which enhances the atmosphere for doing business. Trade facilitation influences more than just the economy in any case. Creating more job possibilities and raising wages can improve human development indices and reduce poverty. In addition, it promotes ecologically friendly behaviors and provides chances for gender parity in global trade. Addressing issues like fair benefit distribution, environmental sustainability, and legal compliance is crucial to maximizing the benefits of trade facilitation for economic growth.  Abstract

As per united nations study there is available of lime ore for manufacturing of cement is sufficient for only 150 years & for production of 1 ton of Portland cement-1 ton of carbon dioxide gas is releasing in atmosphere and its causes green house effect, so have to choose green concrete. The geopolymer concrete has shown considerable good results for construction industry as an alternative binder to Portland cement. In construction industry applications a water resistant binder with sufficient strength is desirable. In addition, the production technology necessitates an adequate processing time. Nevertheless, after the shaping procedure the material should be demould immediately to enable feasible production. Therefore, the binder should show a rather a late beginning of setting, but it should be possible to accelerate strength evolution when the material is shaped. The form of cementitious material using silicon and aluminum activated in a high alkali solution was developed. This material is usually based on fly ash as a source material and is termed geopolymer or alkali-activated fly ash cement. The mortar and concrete made from this geopolymer possess similar strength and appearance to those from ordinary Portland cement. Geopolymer exhibit many excellent properties such as high compressive strength, low creep, good acid resistance, low shrinkage, fire resistance and other mechanical properties. The work on geopolymer has been based on the normally used low calcium fly ash. Low calcium fly ash has been successfully used to manufacture geopolymer concrete when the silicon and aluminium oxides constituted about 80% by mass, with the Si-to Al ratio of about 2. It is also known that high calcium fly ash contains a reasonable amount of silica and alumina. This high calcium fly ash could also be suitable for use as base material for making geopolymer.

This article talks about the contribution of Dr Ayesha Abdul Rahman Bint al Shati to Arabic literary Criticism. The scholars have dealt with her exegesis and hermeneutics at length. Although much more attention is required to this aspect of her contribution, we can say that articles and several studies have dealt with her exegesis of the Quran. In contrast, her literary contribution has been grossly ignored. Her literary works are no less significant than any other writer of her time. It does surprise the reader; what kept the critics from talking about her contribution to the literature and criticism? This article is a humble effort to bring some glimpses of her valuable literary contribution to light.

 Abstract

Medicinal plant species contain vast and unexploited riches of chemical substances with high medical potential, making these plant species valuable as biomedicine sources. Cassia fistula Linn, which belongs to the family Leguminosae, is a medium-sized tree, and its different parts are used in ayurvedic medicine as well as home remedies for common ailments. It is a native of tropical Asia. It is widely cultivated in South Africa, Mexico, East Africa, and Brazil. It is used to treat skin diseases,fever,abdominal pain, and leprosy. : Ayurvedic medicines are considered carminative and laxative. The plant is beneficial for chest complaints, eye problems, colds, heart and liver problems, and rheumatism. It is used to treat hematemesis, itching, dermal cell tumors and diabetes. Phytochemical studies show that it is an important and beneficial medicinal plant. C. Fistula are known to be important sources of secondary metabolites, especially phenolic compounds.Pharmacological activities include antibacterial and antifungal, antidiabetic, antifertility, anti-inflammatory antioxidant, hypatoprotective, antitumor, wound healing, and antipyretic activities. . Cassia fistula has been shown to exhibit significant antibacterial properties, encouraging its public use as a general remedy in the treatment of certain diseases.

 Abstract

Throughout our prolonged struggle for freedom, the widows and companions of nationalist leaders have endured immense suffering without lamentation or grievance. These women took part in the nationalist movements in a variety of ways. These were constructive programs such as spinning khadi, making family sacrifices, becoming pillars of strength and support for their families when the male members had been imprisoned In this paper, we will discuss the role and contribution of various women in households i.e., mother, sisters and wives in the freedom struggle of India. These women in households have been ignored in various studies. Here our study will be particularly a case study of United Province. We will unravel the history of various unknown women freedom fighters of this province who themselves contributed to national movement. These women were at the same time mothers, sisters or wives of various freedom fighters who directly or indirectly participated in freedom struggle. Some of them endured a lifetime pain of being separated from their loved ones by sacrificing their sons, husbands and brothers for the sake of freedom. This significant contribution of these 'women in household' should be written in golden pages of history of freedom movement of India.

 Abstract

This meta-analysis examines the effects of mindfulness-based practices on stress reduction and cognitive functioning across randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 100 participants. Through a comprehensive review of literature, data from RCTs were synthesized to assess the collective impact of mindfulness interventions. Results indicate a significant reduction in stress levels following mindfulness-based interventions, with an average decrease of 20% (p < 0.001) compared to control groups. Moreover, cognitive functioning exhibited notable improvements, with participants demonstrating enhanced attention and working memory capacities post-intervention. The effect size for cognitive improvements ranged from moderate to large (Cohen's d = 0.6 to 1.2, p < 0.001). Subgroup analyses revealed consistent findings across various mindfulness techniques, including mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). Additionally, longer program durations and regular practice frequency were associated with greater stress reduction and cognitive enhancements. These findings underscore the efficacy of mindfulness-based practices in mitigating stress and enhancing cognitive functioning, highlighting the potential for incorporating such interventions into mental health and wellness programs for broader populations. Further research exploring the mechanisms underlying these effects is warranted to optimize the implementation of mindfulness-based interventions.
