Additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, is a way through which we bring our ideas to life. Instead of using traditional cutting tools, it is a way of manufacturing an object layer by layer directly from digital designs. This cutting-edge technology enables innovators to create intricate components for industries like healthcare, automotive, and aerospace with enhanced speed, precision, and cost efficiency. It fosters endless advancement, sustainability, and flexibility on demand for customization which was witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic. War fatalities result from combat injuries (i.e., Penetrating Injuries, Blast Injuries, Gunshot Wounds, Burns, Crush Injuries, Traumatic Amputations, etc.). Though mortality rates due to combat injuries have decreased significantly over the past few decades globally, Hemorrhage remains a leading cause of combat casualties. It is caused due to Gunshot Wounds (GSW), Explosive Injuries (IEDs, Bombs, Mines), Sharp Weapon Injuries, and Crush Injuries (Collapsed Buildings, Heavy Equipment Accidents). This underscores the critical importance of effective bleeding control measures in combat situations. Today, many organizations are stepping up to provide military-grade medical solutions to help treat trauma and emergencies when it matters most. 3D printing is playing a key role in prosthetics, implants, and surgical advancements. Its potential in trauma care, especially in combat settings, is immense. Our study focuses on developing personalised 3D-printed medical aids for gunshot wounds (GSW) and similar injuries that provide effective solutions for hemorrhage control, injury stabilization, and increased survival chances in battlefield conditions. Rapid production of customized, biocompatible wound care materials enhances adaptability in emergency situations.

Dynamic charging for electric vehicles (EVs) integrates Tesla coils embedded in road surfaces, powered by solar panels and mains electricity. Vehicles equipped with copper coils charge while driving, eliminating the need for traditional charging stations. An ESP module and IR sensor detect vehicles, sending payment links to owner's phones. After payment, a servo motor-driven gate opens for vehicle exit. A 7-segment LED display on the EV indicates charging status. This system offers a seamless, efficient, and sustainable charging experience, reducing range anxiety, saving time, and promoting renewable energy usage, although infrastructure setup and standardization are key challenges.

Robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) has emerged as a transformative force in modern surgical practices, particularly in minimally invasive surgery (MIS). This survey paper explores the evolution, current state, and prospects of RAS, underscoring its role in augmenting surgical precision and overcoming the constraints of conventional MIS techniques. Despite these advantages, RAS is seen without its challenges. Significant difficulties such as high operational costs, limitations in haptic feedback, and potential latency issues between control interfaces and robotic mechanisms are critically analysed. In this comprehensive review, we identify and discuss key research gaps within the domain of RAS. These include the need for advanced feature extraction methods capable of capturing essential details in surgical procedures, improved temporal and spatial modelling techniques, and the development of more efficient computational strategies to enhance the practicality of RAS systems. Additionally, this paper explores the intersection of RAS with surgical phase recognition technologies, a critical component in refining surgical workflows and augmenting real-time decision-making, as well as the importance of deep learning methodologies in advancing surgical phase recognition, highlighting their potential to significantly elevate the accuracy and efficiency of RAS.

This empirical study investigates the socio-economic, cultural, and educational transitions of the marginalized Besta community in Kampli, Karnataka. Historically a semi-nomadic, river-dependent tribal group engaged in inland fishing and boating, the Bestas are currently facing severe occupational displacement due to modernization, commercialization of water bodies, and shifting ecological constraints. Utilizing a descriptive research design with simple random sampling of 30 respondents, primary data was collected via structured interviews to analyze their contemporary realities. The findings reveal a profound structural shift: the loss of traditional livelihoods has forced the community into unorganized agricultural and daily wage labor, triggering economic vulnerability, distress migration, and the fragmentation of traditional joint families into nuclear units. Despite these systemic challenges, the community demonstrates remarkable resilience. A positive paradigm shift is evident in their growing commitment to formal education and the increasing socio-economic empowerment of women, facilitated by active participation in Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Furthermore, the community successfully preserves its indigenous cultural rituals. The structural transition of the Bestas from an autonomous tribal entity to a marginalized caste highlights the complex dynamics of social stratification in rural economies. Moreover, their profound political underrepresentation exacerbates their exclusion from mainstream developmental narratives, leaving them caught between their indigenous knowledge systems and the demands of a capitalist labor market. Ultimately, this micro-level analysis of Kampli serves as a sociological mirror reflecting the macro-level vulnerabilities of water-dependent artisanal communities across a rapidly globalizing India. The study concludes that while the Bestas are gradually assimilating into the modern economy, targeted state interventions--specifically vocational training, proportional reservation, and enhanced welfare awareness--are urgently required to ensure their sustainable socio-economic integration.

Democratic societies operate under the rule of law. This essentially means that a nation's laws apply equally to all people, and everyone, especially the government, must play by the rules. It means that the rights and freedoms and democratic processes described above are respected and nurtured. And it means that the laws are also enforced in a fair and consistent way, and there's an independent body, like the courts, to settle disputes that do arise. Liberties recently published its on the current rule of law situation across the bloc, finding a number of concerning trends across many member states based on the principles of democracy system of government which power is held by elected representatives who are freely voted for by the people, or held directly by the people themselves.

This study evaluates Zero-Trust Architecture (ZTA) for identity management and access control in healthcare data integration systems. Medical data integration continues to get more complicated and the perimeter security approach doesn't adequately shield sensitive patient information from inside and outside threats. In our research, we are proposing a dynamic authentication model based on continuous verification and least privilege access approach. The underlying dataset used in the study consists of four hundred fifty-eight simulated patient's interactions, patient's records and access logs. For carrying out the simulation and for the analysis of the efficacy of security, we used advanced network modeling tools and suites of identity management software with real-time risk assessment. The results show that there was a significant decrease in data exposure without permission and that the integration with third parties was simplified when it comes to medical services. The framework moves beyond the old "permissions" model to "validation" based on context to guarantee data integrity across multiple platforms in multi-platform synchronization. This paper provides a blueprint for the implementation of the zero-trust principles in the case of legacy systems, emphasizing the significance of a strong identity governance strategy in the current digital healthcare environment and its contribution to security and regulatory compliance.

Agriculture and rural infrastructure occupy a highly significant place in the economy of India. Rural roads are considered the foundation of agricultural development, market connectivity, employment generation, and improvement in rural living standards. The objective of the present research article is to analyze public investment in rural roads in India and its impact on agricultural development. The study is entirely based on secondary data collected from the Ministry of Rural Development, NITI Aayog, NABARD, Economic Survey reports of the Government of India, and various research studies. The study clearly indicates that through the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and other rural road projects, there has been a remarkable increase in rural connectivity. By the year 2023-24, more than 7.75 lakh kilometers of rural roads had been constructed in India, connecting lakhs of rural habitations with all-weather road connectivity. As a result of rural road investment, agricultural productivity, market access, crop diversification, and farmers' income have increased. Reduction in transportation costs and timely availability of agricultural inputs have provided better economic benefits to farmers. The study also reveals that rural road development has promoted opportunities in education, healthcare, and non-farm employment. However, challenges such as road maintenance, regional disparities, environmental impacts, and flood-related damages still persist. The study concludes that if rural road investment is integrated with agricultural value chains, digital infrastructure, and climate-resilient technologies, it can further accelerate inclusive and sustainable rural development in India.
