A STUDY TO ASSESS THE LEVEL OF STRESS AMONG HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS ATTENDING Cardiology OPD, SVIMS, TIRUPATI was undertaken by Mr.R.ALEN LEZZEL as a partial fulfilment of degree of Master of science in Nursing, SVIMS university during the year 2022-2023 OBJECTIVES: ? To assess the level of stress in hypertensive patients. ? To find out the association between level of stress among hypertensive patients with selected socio demographic variables. Review of literature provided an in depth knowledge for the development of the research tool. The conceptual frame work which is adopted for the present study was based on Modified LUDWIG VON BERTALANFFY General System theory (2023) and it provides comprehensive framework for achieving the objectives of the study. The research approach adopted for this study was Cross Sectional Descriptive research design. The study was conducted in Cardiology OPD at SVIMS using structured questionnaire and the sampling technique was Non Probability Convenience sampling technique. The tool used in this study consists of two sections : Section - I contains sociodemographic variables, Section - II contains modified perceived stress scale (S.Cohen 1983) The reliability of the instrument was established by administering the tool to 15 patients who are attending Cardiology OPD who were not included in the pilot study and who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Internal consistency of the tool was established through split half method by using Cronbach's alpha formula r = 0.84 and the tool was found to be reliable. The actual study was done on 355 patients who were falling under inclusion criteria. The collected data was analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study findings revealed that 57 (16.1%) patients had low stress, 162 (45.6%) patients had moderate stress, 136 (38.3%) patients had high stress with a mean score 22.71 + 5.93 respectively. The findings of association between the level of stress and demographic variables with the age, gender, formal education, occupation, family income, shows highly significant association at p<0.01level; place of residence, type of work , shows significant association at p<0.05 level and the other variables such as marital status, religion, type of family ,type of diet do not have significant association. RECOMMENDATIONS: o o The nurse posted in the Cardiology OPD could spare sometime for teaching and guiding related to stress management in hypertensive patients. A structured teaching programme can be conducted on management of stress among hypertensive patients in different settings and different population. oA comparative study can be conducted on level of stress among hypertensive patients and patients with other comorbidities

We define G as a graph, where V denotes the collection of vertices and E represents the collection of edges. If b is the adjacent observed vertex for every vertex a such that the difference between degrees a and b is less than or equal to 1 that is|d(a)-d(b)|<=1, then the equitable power dominating set S is a subset of V in G is power dominating set. The new concept of "Equitable Power Edge Domination" is defined as follows: If an edge f1 that is not in S' is observed to be adjacent to an edge f2 such that| |d(f1)-d(f2)| <= 1 , the edge equitable dominating set S'? E in G is said to be a "Equitable Power Edge Dominating set". Equitable power edge domination number of graph represented by ?'_eped(G), represents the fewest elements of an equitable power edge domination set of graph.

The healthcare industry across the globe is facing sever workforce shortage which is only likely to increase in future. India would need atleast 4.3 million nurses by 2024 owing to its large population, increasing incidence of disease and people needing medical needs. Climatic factors like supportive work culture, working conditions, justified work distribution, transparency etc. affect employee satisfaction. It is believed that the majority of the challenges faced by the Indian healthcare can be addressed through organisational climate. This research aims to study the influence of organisational climate on job satisfaction and intention to stay of nursing staff. Researcher surveyed 285 nursing professionals working at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Punjabi Bagh and Dwarka, India. Findings of the study established a direct and statistically significant link between organisational climate and both job satisfaction and nurse's intention to stay. Also, factors other than organisational climate also affected job satisfaction and intention to leave. Findings of this research were similar to findings of several of the previous researchers. Further research is needed to identify other factors which might influence job satisfaction and intention to stay.

A large wading bird in the Ciconiidae family, the Painted stork is classified as Near Threatened. A study was conducted from the Zoo in the Lucknow District of Uttar Pradesh, India. The only seasonal short-distance movements that painted storks exhibit are those made in pursuit of food and breeding grounds. These birds are migratory natives to the area. In many bird species, choosing the nest site is thought to be crucial to successful reproduction. In order to suggest management of the species for conservation, the study set out to determine the factors influencing the choice of nesting habitat and nest tree, as well as time management during nest building. In this species, little research has been done on the significance of choosing a nest site and nest building behavior. In trees or places close to bodies of water, painted storks prepare their nest. The Ashoka nest trees (Saraca longifolia) were the ones chosen. The availability of food was the primary factor influencing the choice of nest site. The female and male took part in cleaning the nest. The materials used to build the nest were grasses (Sacharum and Jussiaea), some soft green leaves (twigs of Eucalyptus), and pieces of old tree branches. These branches contributed to the fortification. The nest was made softer by the grasses and leaves. Eucalyptus leaves have the ability to repel insects.

This paper explores the complex relationship between food and human emotion in Anjali Joseph's novel Another Country, using Donald Winnicott's theory of transitional objects as a psychoanalytic framework to conduct a literary study. Food in the novel serves as a powerful medium for reflecting and mediating the protagonist Leela Ghosh's emotional states and cultural identity. Through a detailed analysis, the paper demonstrates how food acts as a transitional object, providing comfort and continuity amidst Leela's personal and cultural dislocations. The paper also highlights how culinary experiences mirror Leela's inner turmoil and facilitate moments of connection and intimacy, helping her navigate complex emotional landscapes. The symbolic significance of food is highlighted as it becomes a conduit for cultural memory and a vehicle for resolving emotional conflicts.

This paper compares three distinct approaches to signal amplification and conditioning for piezoelectric sensors and light intensity measurement. The first approach addresses the challenge of amplifying weak charge signals from piezoelectric plates in shape detection, proposing a compact, high-integration charge amplifier circuit with strong anti-interference capabilities. This design, validated through Multisim simulations and actual tests, demonstrates good passband flatness and less than 2% theoretical error, highlighting its feasibility and reliability. The second approach presents a novel charge amplifier for piezoelectric sensors, particularly beneficial in quasi-static applications. By eliminating the need for extremely large resistors and utilizing a simple analog and linear feedback network with general-purpose JFET operational amplifiers, the proposed circuit significantly reduces output offset voltage and implementation costs. Experimental results show a low-cutoff frequency of 0.2 Hz and a gain of 20.5 dB, with a minimal output offset voltage and a relative error of 2.1%. The third approach evaluates different signal conditioning circuits for light intensity measurement using LDR and photodiode sensors. It emphasizes the importance of accurate light measurement for various applications and highlights the performance of instrumentation amplifiers for fixed lux ranges and active low-pass filters for variable lux ranges. This comparative analysis underscores the advancements in signal conditioning solutions tailored to specific applications, enhancing measurement accuracy and efficiency.
