Disability can limit an individual's ability to carry out everyday activities and may either contribute to or arise from non-communicable diseases (NCDs). A descriptive study was conducted to assess functional health status, NCD risk factors, wellbeing, and lifestyle practices among persons with locomotor disabilities. The study was carried out in two clinical settings in a district of West Bengal and included 300 individuals aged 18-60 years, selected through non-probability consecutive sampling. The findings indicated poor functional health status, with severe limitations in daily functioning, particularly among individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) and congenital disorders. A substantial proportion of participants required assistance with basic activities, including dressing, eating, and walking. A high prevalence of (NCDs) risk factors, unhealthy lifestyle practices, and poor wellbeing was also observed. Lifestyle practices demonstrated weak but statistically significant associations with both health status and wellbeing. Targeted interventions, particularly those focusing on sleep and life skills, are required to improve wellbeing, while promoting healthier lifestyle practices may contribute to better overall health and wellbeing.

The gender perspective looks at the impact of gender on people's opportunities, social roles and interactions. Successful implementation of the policy, programme and project goals of international and national organizations is directly affected by the impact of gender and, in turn, influences the process of social development. Gender is an integral component of every aspect of the economic, social, daily and private lives of individuals and societies, and of the different roles ascribed by society to men and women. Sex refers to the permanent and immutable biological characteristics common to individuals in all societies and cultures, while gender defines traits forged throughout the history of social relations. Gender, although it originates in objective biological divergencies, goes far beyond the physiological and biological specifics of the two sexes in terms of the roles each is expected to play. Gender differences are social constructs, inculcated on the basis of a specific society's particular perceptions of the physical differences and the assumed tastes, tendencies and capabilities of men and women. Gender differences, unlike the immutable characteristics of sex, are universally conceded in historical and comparative social analyses to be variants that are transformed over time and from one culture to the next, as societies change and evolve.

Anemia, a prevalent global health concern disproportionately affecting women, demands attention to the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to iron deficiency anemia (IDA) among female healthcare workers. This descriptive correlational study aimed to assess KAP regarding anemia among 115 female healthcare workers in a tertiary care hospital. The sample comprised female healthcare workers from various departments, including medical and non-medical, within the tertiary care hospital. A validated questionnaire from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) on KAP related to anemia was utilized, assessing demographic information, background variables, and KAP related to anemia. Results shows, no significant difference was found between occupation and KAP, suggesting that occupational roles insignificantly impact anemia-related KAP in this population. Furthermore, there was no association found between occupation and KAP, the type of job or position within the healthcare sector does not significantly influence how individuals perceive, understand, or act upon issues related to anemia. While a positive correlation existed between knowledge and attitude toward anemia prevention, no significant relationship was observed between attitude and practice, indicating that positive attitudes did not consistently translate into healthy practices. Meal skipping, particularly breakfast, irregular eating habits, high level of tea and coffee consumption and low rest hours among female healthcare workers were identified as contributors to the risk of IDA. These findings highlight the importance of not just improving knowledge and attitudes but also ensuring that there are effective strategies and interventions in place that can translate this knowledge and attitude into practical actions among healthcare workers. This might involve more targeted training programs, practical workshops, or institutional support to bridge the gap between knowledge, attitude, and practice.

Revolution 2020 is a contemporary novel written by Chetan Bhagat. The novel explores various themes like corruption, ambition, love and emotions. The thought process of Aarti serves as a tool to exhibit the social condition of women in the society. She is found to be surrounded by various feelings such as love, guilt and fear of judgement, which can be seen in many women in the present situation. The theme of activism and emotional idealism gives a chance to the author to exhibit the atrocities that happen in the society in the form of corruption and other illegal means. Bhagat justifies the fact that only emotional resilience will keep people grounded in this realm.

Traditional centralized identity management systems are increasingly vulnerable to security breaches, privacy violations, and single points of failure. Decentralized Identity (DID), based on blockchain technology, has emerged as a promising alternative by enabling users to maintain control over their digital identities. However, existing DID solutions often face challenges related to secure biometric integration, privacy preservation, and cryptographic key management. This study presents a blockchain-based decentralized identity framework that integrates privacy-preserving biometric authentication with advanced cryptographic techniques. The proposed framework utilizes homomorphic encryption to enable secure biometric template storage and matching without exposing sensitive biometric data. Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) is employed for efficient key generation and digital signature operations, while the architecture is designed to support future integration with post-quantum cryptographic mechanisms to enhance long-term security. The solution is implemented using Ethereum smart contracts to provide transparent, tamper-resistant, and decentralized identity verification. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed framework achieves high authentication accuracy while preserving user privacy and maintaining acceptable computational and transaction overhead. The results indicate that the proposed approach offers a secure, scalable, and privacy-preserving identity management solution suitable for modern decentralized applications and digital ecosystems.
