 Abstract

Background: As the COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically reshaped the world of work, remote working has become increasingly commonplace and HR is faced with a new set of challenges. People-based traditional HR practices are no longer effective and Data-driven HR models to manage distributed workforces are needed more than ever before. Objective: This study will look at the biggest challenges HR professionals face in remote work settings and how HR analytics can give them practical solutions to improve employee engagement, performance management, collaboration, productivity, and organizational culture. Approach: This study uses a conceptual and analytical approach, synthesizing the literature and analyzing how HR analytics tools use survey, digital communication, collaboration system, and performance data. Predictive and descriptive analytics methods were employed to gain insights into employee behavior, engagement levels and possible risk of burnout working remotely. Findings: The results show that HR analytics is one of the crucial elements to solve problems related to remote working. With analytics, sentiment analysis and communication patterns can be monitored to track employee engagement, predictive identification of burnout is possible, and outcome oriented performance management can be done. Organisations can establish indicators for remote performance that are fair and equitable for evaluation and recognition. Moreover, HR analytics can be used to facilitate innovation and collaboration by examining the data of virtual meetings and project management, pinpointing obstacles, and improving communication channels. Employee sentiment and alignment with organisation values are cultural indicators that can also be measured, and interventions can be targeted to increase organizational culture across distributed teams. Conclusion: The study found HR analytics to be a critical element to address the changing requirements of remote working. HR analytics offers data-driven insights that can help organisations optimize their performance, improve engagement, foster collaboration, and maintain their organizational culture. HR analytics will play a vital role in strategic HR management for sustainable success in a remote and hybrid workplace

 Abstract

Banana pseudostem is an abundant agricultural residue containing substantial lignocellulosic carbohydrate and represents a promising renewable biomass resource for value-added bioproduct development. The present study investigated the biological conversion of banana pseudostem (BPS) followed by fermentation and characterization of the resulting product using complementary analytical techniques. The carbohydrate-containing fraction obtained after biological treatment was analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), which showed a prominent peak corresponding to glucose. The glucose-containing fraction was subsequently subjected to yeast fermentation, and the resulting product was characterized by gas chromatography (GC) using an ethanol reference standard and by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Comparison of the GC chromatograms showed a prominent sample peak at a chromatographic position corresponding closely to the major peak of the ethanol standard, providing evidence consistent with the presence of ethanol in the fermented product. The FTIR spectrum exhibited a broad O-H stretching absorption together with characteristic aliphatic C-H and C-O absorption features consistent with an alcohol-containing compound. The agreement among the HPLC, GC and FTIR observations supports the proposed conversion of banana pseudostem-derived carbohydrate into an ethanol-containing fermentation product. However, the present qualitative analytical data do not establish ethanol concentration, fermentation efficiency, yield, or absolute product purity. The study demonstrates the analytical feasibility of investigating banana pseudostem as a lignocellulosic agricultural residue and contributes to the broader development of biomass-valorization strategies.

 Abstract

The illustration of Native Americans in the writings of Sherman Alexie is a significant contribution to American literature. The collection of stories The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven, published in 1993, made a remarkable contribution to Native American literature. The characters constructed by Alexie mark an outstanding representation of the Native American, which is vivid through the character, Thomas, a voiceless individual in the oppressive white supremacy. Alexie is found with his identification of the forefathers and the generation that lost the hope of living due to the continuous tormenting of the European settlers in America, as if the land was theirs. Having fed the Native Americans with drinking addiction and the use of drugs, the continuous torture against them is well planned to annihilate the origin of the Natives. This article attempts to unearth the hidden collisions of cultural destruction.

 Abstract

Freshwater algae constitute a renewable and largely untapped source of bioactive secondary metabolites with recognised antioxidant and antibacterial properties. This review synthesises published literature on the phytochemical composition and antioxidant/antibacterial potential of freshwater algal genera commonly reported from Washim district, Maharashtra -- a semi-arid region drained by rivers including the Adan, Arunavati, Painganga, Katepurna, and Morna, and impounded by reservoirs such as the Ekburji, Sonala, and Adan dams -- with particular reference to Spirogyra, Chlorella, Scenedesmus, Oscillatoria, Chara, and Nitella. Qualitative phytochemical screening of these genera has consistently detected alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, saponins, and terpenoids using simple colour and precipitation tests, while basic spectrophotometric assays (DPPH radical scavenging, total phenolic and flavonoid content) and agar well/disc diffusion antibacterial assays have demonstrated activity comparable to standard antioxidants and antibiotics against common Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. Despite this promise, the algal flora of Washim district has so far been surveyed only for taxonomic composition and water quality, and no study has evaluated its antioxidant or antibacterial potential. This review outlines a simple, laboratory-feasible screening approach -- built around standard extraction, qualitative phytochemical tests, and basic spectrophotometric and agar-diffusion assays rather than chromatographic or molecular techniques -- and identifies systematic bioprospecting of Washim's freshwater algae as an accessible research opportunity suited to laboratories with limited instrumentation.

 Abstract

This paper aimed to determine whether a structured yoga therapy program may help reduce anxiety and stress among juvenile boys. Living in a juvenile home, dealing with problematic relationships, dealing with uncertainty, and being in a socially limited environment can all take a mental toll on juvenile offenders. To this end, yoga-based activities may offer a helpful supplementary strategy for fostering emotional stability and mental health. Twenty juvenile boys ranging in age from thirteen to seventeen, were chosen for the study by means of purposive sampling. An organised yoga treatment program was provided to all participants for eight weeks. The program met five days a week for around 60 minutes per session. Drs. Vijaya Lakshmi and Shruti Narayan's 40-item Stress Scale was utilised to measure stress, while a standardised anxiety scale was employed to measure anxiety. Frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and a paired-samples t-test were used to assess the pre- and post-test data at a significance level of 0.05. Participating boys showed considerable reductions in stress and anxiety after completing the structured yoga treatment program. The study emphasises the possible benefits of yoga as a supplementary intervention to enhance mental health in institutional settings for juveniles.
