 Abstract

Work-life balance has emerged as an important concern for employees working in educational institutions, particularly women employees who often manage multiple professional and personal responsibilities. Although educational institutions are generally perceived as supportive work environments, women employees may experience challenges related to workload, working hours, family responsibilities, emotional demands, administrative duties, and career development. The present study examines the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance among women employees working in educational institutions. The study focuses on dimensions such as workload, working-time flexibility, family support, organisational support, job satisfaction, and personal well-being, and examines their influence on employee performance. A descriptive and analytical research design was adopted. Primary data were proposed to be collected through a structured questionnaire from women employees working in selected educational institutions. For the purpose of demonstrating the analytical framework, an illustrative sample of 150 respondents is considered. Descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis are suggested for analysing the relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. The illustrative findings indicate a positive relationship between work-life balance and employee performance. The study highlights the importance of flexible work arrangements, supportive institutional policies, reasonable workload, leave facilities, counselling and employee-friendly organisational practices. The findings can assist educational institutions in developing policies that promote employee well-being while improving institutional effectiveness.

 Abstract

This study investigates how the relationship between Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM) and organizational performance is mediated by knowledge management, human capital, employee engagement, and employee well-being. A quantitative research technique was used to gather data from 385 workers of different firms using a standardized questionnaire. The results of the partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLSSEM) analysis show that sustainable HRM has a substantial direct and indirect impact on organizational performance. The results show that employee engagement, human capital, knowledge management, and well-being are important mediating elements in this connection. The study concludes that implementing sustainable HR practices is essential for enhancing employee capabilities, workplace well-being, and overall organizational efficacy, which are vital for attaining long-term sustainability and performance.

 Abstract

Located in the Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh, Chanderi is one of India's significant historical towns, offering a remarkable blend of history, archaeology, architecture, religion, art, culture, and a traditional textile industry. Nestled amidst the Vindhyachal mountain ranges, the town is renowned not only for its natural beauty but also for its forts, palaces, temples, mosques, mausoleums, stepwells, inscriptions, and sculptures. Chanderi’s history spans from prehistoric times through the ancient, medieval, and colonial eras to the modern day; stone tools and rock paintings found in the vicinity indicate the presence of prehistoric humans in the region. Ancient literary traditions associate this area with the Kingdom of Chedi. Over time, the Pratihara dynasty, the Delhi Sultanate, the Malwa Sultanate, and rulers from the Mughal, Bundela, British, and Scindia dynasties played pivotal roles in Chanderi's political and cultural evolution. Landmarks such as Kirti Durg, Badal Mahal Darwaza, Koshak Mahal, Battisi Baoli, Kati Ghati, Jama Masjid, Jain temples, the Jauhar Memorial, and various other religious and architectural relics stand as witnesses to its rich past. Chanderi is also distinguished by its renowned handloom heritage and its signature textiles. This research paper examines Chanderi’s historical development, architectural style, religious traditions, water management systems, cultural synthesis, and textile heritage.

 Abstract

This study examines the growth of digital payments in India, with particular emphasis on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and its role in strengthening the country's position within the global FinTech ecosystem. Primary data were collected from 150 respondents in Coimbatore district through a structured questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using percentage analysis, descriptive statistics, and factor analysis. The findings demonstrate that UPI has played a significant role in accelerating digital payment adoption, primarily due to its ease of use, cost efficiency, transparency, and transaction speed. Adoption is particularly prominent among educated, urban, and middle-income respondents, with substantial usage among business owners and self-employed individuals, highlighting UPI's growing importance in both personal and commercial transactions. Factor analysis identified four major dimensions associated with UPI's global relevance: financial inclusion and cost efficiency; interoperability and global benchmarking; international adoption and cross-border remittance facilitation; and scalability and global FinTech influence. These factors collectively account for 56.24% of the total variance. Continued policy initiatives, technological innovation, and international collaboration can further strengthen UPI's global presence and contribute to India's leadership in the evolving digital economy.

 Abstract

Menopause is associated with hormonal changes that affect multiple physiological systems, including the respiratory system. Declining estrogen levels accelerate deterioration in pulmonary function, contributing to reduced functional capacity and sleep quality in postmenopausal women. This review summarizes the current evidence regarding pulmonary function changes following menopause and their clinical implications.

 Abstract

Public perception of police officers is an important indicator of the relationship between law enforcement agencies and the community. Positive public perception can contribute to greater cooperation, confidence, reporting of crime, and effective community policing, whereas negative perceptions may weaken trust and reduce public willingness to cooperate with police authorities. The present study examines the level of perception of the public towards police officers among 500 respondents. A descriptive research design was adopted, and data were collected from 500 members of the public using a structured questionnaire those who were selected using Purposive/Convenience sampling. The study examined perceptions relating to police effectiveness, fairness, accessibility, professionalism, responsiveness, integrity, safety, and trust. The findings indicate that a substantial proportion of respondents expressed a moderate level of perception towards police officers, while smaller proportions reported high and low levels of perception. The study further examines the association between selected socio-demographic variables and public perception. The findings highlight the importance of procedural fairness, professional conduct, accessibility, transparency, and community-oriented policing in strengthening public confidence in the police. Previous research in India similarly indicates that perceptions of police performance, fairness, professionalism, and corruption are important factors associated with citizen satisfaction and trust.

 Abstract

Digital food delivery in cities has grown quickly in India, contributing to more access to restaurant food choices and opening up avenues for new nutrition interventions. Nutrition-tracking Apps and AI food analysis apps can give food info with calorie, nutrition, and health scores, as well as personalised data, but the impact on long-lasting shifts in food behaviour is unclear. The purpose of this research is a critical review of whether nutrition tracking in the electronic food delivery environment is a worthwhile behavioural intervention or marketing differentiation. Thematic analysis of the latest literature, coupled with descriptive extraction of quantitative findings based on published literature and an Indian dataset, marked the use of a secondary integrative research design. The five themes identified relate to: digital food environments; awareness of nutrition; digital nudging; competing influences on food choice; and the difference between short-term behavioural effect and sustained change. Overall, there is very little evidence that nutrition tracking has a long-term effect on dietary change, although there is evidence of this with the use of active choice architecture.

 Abstract

In the contemporary context, the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) holds considerable significance as a comprehensive knowledge tradition characterized by logic, diversity, openness and scientific reasoning. It represents the accumulated customs, cultural values, experiences and wisdom transmitted across generations and different historical periods. The contributions of several eminent Indian thinkers and scholars have brought the spiritual philosophy and managerial insights embedded within various components of IKS to global attention. At sits core, the Indian Knowledge System emphasizes the pursuit of higher self-realization through spiritual knowledge. The Bhagavad Gita, one of India's significant contributions to global thought, offers extensive wisdom with relevance to everyday life as well as professional and managerial contexts. In the contemporary business environment, sustainable development has emerged as a major concern across different spheres of life. Sustainabiliity has increasingly become an important consideration for both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. Alongside financial performance and return on investment, organisations are paying greater attention to their social and environmental responsibilities. Consequently, corporate governance is gradually expanding its focus from financial outcomes to the broader social and environmental impact of business activities. Against this background, the present study examines the relationship and interdependence between corporate governance and sustainable development through the perspective of the Indian Knowledge System. The study aims to explore whether traditional Indian Knowledge can provide meaningful insights for addressing managerial challenges within organizations. Particular emphasis is placed on the managerial lessons derived from the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana and Mahabharata. The study is based on secondary data. The findings suggest that the managerial teachings embedded in these Indian texts can be valuable for business professionals by helping them overcome the fear of failure and enhance their competencies and capabilities. The study further concludes that incorporating relevant lessons from different dimensions of the Indian Knowledge System can contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business organisations.
