 Abstract

This survey investigates the efforts of Protestant scholars to inculturate the Christian faith and expressions in the South Indian context during the 19th and 20th centuries. The focus is on the Christian scholars' efforts to adapt Western Christianity to Indian philosophical systems and a multi-religious context. It traces how the initial efforts in linguistics shifted from adaptations of Indian philosophies. Then there was a move toward engagement in dialogue with people of other faiths and ideologies, first in a multi-religious context and finally in a secular context. This survey is important because these efforts have a significant impact on the thinking and practice of present-day Christians and other people in India.

 Abstract

As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes a more ubiquitous part of digital marketing, it has revolutionized how consumers engage with Indian e-commerce businesses, with personalised recommendations, targeted ads and customised promotional offers becoming commonplace. But the lack of trust with the issues about personal data, transparency of AI marketing practices, and the effectiveness of personalised communication can impact consumer trust. The present study explores the effect of data privacy, perceived transparency and personalisation aspects on the consumer trust in case of AI-based digital marketing in the Indian context of e-commerce. The study adopts cross-sectional research design with a quantitative approach, and the data was obtained in the form of primary data with a questionnaire. The four constructs were measured by 20 items on a 5-point likert scale. Cronbach's alpha, KMO, Bartlett's Test and exploratory factor analysis were used to test the reliability and construct validity. The data was subjected to Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis for the testing of the hypotheses. The internal consistency was relatively high for all four constructs with Cronbach's alphas between 0.932 and 0.970. 54.0% of the consumers' trust was accounted for by the regression model. Data privacy (? = 0.361, p < 0.001), perceived transparency (? = 0.480, p < 0.001) and personalisation (? = 0.480, p < 0.001) were found to have significant positive influences on consumer trust. The results suggest that trust can be built by using AI in marketing if consumers can be assured of responsible data handling, transparent communication, and relevant personalisation. The research offers valuable insights into the practical application of AI in e-commerce marketing, focusing on creating customer-centric and trustworthy strategies for Indian companies.

 Abstract

This paper attempts to comparatively analyse the perspectives of Charles Dickens and Mulk Raj Anand on children and their exploitation. Both writers advocate equality and rebel against discrimination, casteism and class division. Their concern for the marginalized originates from their own childhood experiences. The study focuses on Dickens's Oliver Twist (1837) and Hard Times (1854) and Anand's Untouchable (1935) and Coolie (1936). Both authors portray slums, poverty, and economic insecurity realistically and suggest an optimistic future based on humanism. While Dickens critiques the Victorian workhouse system and utilitarian education, Anand critiques caste oppression and colonial exploitation. The paper concludes that both are not only great storytellers but also great humanists with a moral and humanistic vision of life.

 Abstract

There has been an increasing interest in the study of behaviour related to uncertainty, risk, and possible outcomes of decisions in the context of adolescent development. Loss aversion is useful as a starting point in the explanation of decision-making under competitive pressure, especially when considering the problem from a psychological perspective since losses tend to be given more importance than equivalent gains. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between loss-averse mechanisms and joining and performance in competitive swimming and dance among adolescents. Thematic analysis of articles from journals and descriptive quantitative analysis of Indian competition results available online were used to secure a secondary mixed-methods design. Loss-sensitivity, adolescent risk-taking, fear of failure, and contextual influences on decision-making were emphasized in the literature. Overall, there were measurable differences in performance between heats and finals, with six of 8 matched swimmers experiencing an increase, and two a decrease. The evidence of achievement by DanceSport was of a competitive nature and, whilst often given, not as consistently reported numerically as in other activities. The literature suggests that there are additional examples where competitive situations require more room in determining adolescent behaviour under pressure, such as situations that include exposure to the possibility of failure, ranking and elimination

 Abstract

The Shakti Scheme, launched by the Government of Karnataka in June 2023, is a significant welfare initiative aimed at enhancing women's mobility by providing free travel on state-run non-premium bus services. This study examines the impact of the scheme on women's empowerment in Karnataka, with a focus on mobility, economic independence, access to education, healthcare, and participation in public life. The scheme has substantially increased women's use of public transport, particularly among low-income and rural populations, thereby reducing transportation costs and improving access to essential services and opportunities. Evidence indicates that increased mobility has contributed to greater independence, confidence, and social participation among women. However, challenges such as overcrowding, infrastructure limitations, and financial sustainability of transport services remain important concerns. The study also highlights that while the scheme has positively influenced women's empowerment, its long-term effectiveness depends on complementary measures such as improved transport infrastructure, safety enhancements, and expanded employment opportunities. Overall, the Shakti Scheme represents a transformative policy intervention that strengthens women's empowerment through improved mobility in Karnataka.

 Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the present study was to investigate the changes on power related parameters due to the effect of different intensities of speed training. Power is an important component of physical fitness and is essential for successful performance in many sports and games. The study was designed to determine whether Low, Moderate, and High-Intensity speed training would produce different improvements in selected power components. 60 College men students were selected as participants and randomly assigned to three experimental groups, High Intensity Speed Training Group(HIST), Medium Intensity Speed Training Group (MIST), Low Intensity Speed Training Group(LIST) and a Control group. The experimental groups participated in their respective speed-training programs for a specified period, while the control group continued their regular physical activities. Selected speed components such as maximum Anaerobic power and Elastic Power were assessed using appropriate standardized tests. Pre-test and post-test measurements were obtained and analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques. It was hypothesized that different intensities of speed training would significantly improve selected power components and that the magnitude of improvement would differ among the training groups. The findings of the study may provide useful information for physical education teachers, coaches, and strength and conditioning professionals in designing effective speed-training programmes for college students.

 Abstract

Abstract Vatarakta is a distinct clinical entity among Vatavyadhi, characterized primarily by the complex dual vitiation of Vata Dosha and Raktadhatu. Classical literature, including the Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, Ashtanga Sangraha, and Madhava Nidana, describes its pathogenesis as Aavrana--where the pathologically altered Raktadhatu occludes the pathways of Vata Dosha. This obstruction triggers systemic and localized manifestations, including ruja (excruciating pain), shof (acute swelling), daha (burning sensation), tod (pricking pain), and kandu (itching). Clinically, this presentation closely aligns with modern Gout, a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperuricemia resulting from the overproduction or underexcretion of uric acid. This study aimed to clinically evaluate the immediate therapeutic efficacy of Siravedha (local bloodletting therapy) in providing rapid pain relief during acute gouty exacerbations.Methodology: This clinical case series documents five patients diagnosed with Vatarakta (Gouty arthritis). Inclusion criteria were established based on classic symptomatology and verified biochemical hyperuricemia, presenting with serum uric acid levels exceeding 6.0 mg/dL for females and 7.0 mg/dL for males. All five subjects underwent a single, targeted session of Siravedha at the affected joint sites, combined with strict Pathya-Apathya (specific Ayurvedic dietary modifications). Objective and subjective symptomatic changes were closely monitored and systematically assessed over a post-procedure follow-up period of two weeks

 Abstract

The business trucks constitute an important component in the transport of cargos, particularly in India where road transport covers more than 65 percent of the domestic freights. Other load conditions also include the various load conditions on uneven roads that subjects their suspension system to permanent mechanical load and hastens fatigue damage. Suspension components like springs, dampers, linkages and chassis connections have significant influence on stability, load distribution and transport safety. The research design employed in this paper is the exploratory research design which utilizes secondary qualitative data collected using scholarly journals, engineering reports and engineering industry publications. The suspension behaviour, variation of loads, road irregularities and mechanical fatigue followed patterns and the thematic analysis approach was chosen. These findings indicate that the unsteady cargo loads improve compression of the suspensions, alter the vibrations behavior, and increase the level of structural stress. The Indian road conditions discontinuities are well known to produce dynamic loads and shock forces that hastens component fatigue. The actions performed by the engineers to guarantee the correction of the issue, such as air and adaptive suspension systems, high-quality material and predictive maintenance plans, reveal a lot of success and are sure to prolong the operational safety and durability of the problem. The experiment supports the relevance of Mechanical Fatigue Theory, and Vehicle Dynamics Theory to investigate the behavior of suspensions in a realistic driving situation. These lessons may be employed to guide vehicle makers, transport operators, road planners to optimize the design of the suspensions, reduce mechanical failures, enhance the security of the transportation whole.

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all countries throughout the world, including India. It has a major impact on the health sector, which significantly disrupts all sectors of an economy. The education sector has also been affected badly because of the pandemic. In this paper an attempt is made to find out the impact of the pandemic on household expenditure on education in Assam. The qualitative research method, like a case study, is used to collect in-depth data from the sample households regarding the experiences of the impact of the pandemic on household expenditure on education.
