Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) rapidly transforms software engineering, yet existing research remains fragmented across individual tasks in the Software Development Lifecycle. This study integrates a systematic literature review with a survey of 65 software developers. The results show that GenAI exerts its highest impact in design, implementation, testing, and documentation, where over 70 % of developers report at least halving the time for boilerplate and documentation tasks. 79 % of survey respondents use GenAI daily, preferring browser-based Large Language Models over alternatives integrated directly in their development environment. Governance is maturing, with two-thirds of organizations maintaining formal or informal guidelines. In contrast, early SDLC phases such as planning and requirements analysis show markedly lower reported benefits. In a nutshell, GenAI shifts value creation from routine coding toward specification quality, architectural reasoning, and oversight, while risks such as uncritical adoption, skill erosion, and technical debt require robust governance and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.

The Hindustani classical violin has developed through sustained interaction with both vocal and instrumental traditions. Among the approaches that have shaped its performance practice, Gayak? A?g and Tantrak?r? A?g represent two distinctive yet interconnected orientations. The present study comparatively examines these approaches in terms of their aesthetic foundations, technical characteristics, performance practices, and contributions to the evolving identity of the Hindustani classical violin. The study adopts a qualitative and comparative approach, drawing upon relevant scholarly literature and examining the stylistic principles associated with vocal-oriented and instrumental-oriented violin performance. Particular attention is given to melodic treatment, bowing and fingering techniques, ornamentation, rhythmic organization, repertoire, and performance structure. The analysis demonstrates that Gayak? A?g emphasizes vocal-like melodic continuity, expressive intonation, swar-lag?v, ornamentation, and the communication of r?ga-bh?va, whereas Tantrak?r? A?g foregrounds instrumental articulation, rhythmic development, technical dexterity, layak?r?, and instrumental autonomy. The study further finds that these approaches are not rigidly separate or mutually exclusive; rather, they function as complementary orientations within a continuum of musical expression. Their interaction has enabled violinists to negotiate between vocal expressiveness and instrumental independence, contributing to a distinctive Hindustani violin tradition. The study therefore argues that the evolving identity of the Hindustani classical violin is best understood through the dynamic synthesis of Gayak? A?g and Tantrak?r? A?g, in which expressive depth, technical versatility, and individual artistic identity coexist.

ABSTRACT Voting is an essential component of democracy, and the participation of young voters plays an important role in strengthening democratic governance. This study examines the voting behaviour of college students in Williamnagar, East Garo Hills, Meghalaya. Based on a descriptive survey of 106 respondents, it examines political interest, sources of political information, candidate characteristics, political parties, family and friends, social media, local development, employment opportunities, and candidates' past performance. The findings indicate that candidate character and past performance are particularly important considerations, while local development and employment opportunities also influence electoral choices. The study highlights the importance of understanding youth voting behaviour within its local socio-political context.

Intellectual property rights (IPRs) have become valued inheritable assets that can create wealth and preserve cultural, scientific, and artistic legacies for future generations due to their increasing economic relevance. IPR inheritance, however, presents difficult socio-legal issues pertaining to striking a balance between private proprietary rights, public knowledge access, innovation, and the intergenerational justice principle. While intellectual property regimes are based on time-bound monopolies meant to promote invention while ultimately enriching the public domain, succession rules make it easier for proprietary rights to be transferred upon the death of the owner. This article critically investigates whether these conflicting goals are sufficiently balanced by the current legal framework governing the inheritance of copyrights, patents, trademarks, and associated intellectual property. In order to assess the consequences of inherited intellectual assets for future generations, the study examines the relationship between intellectual property law, succession law, constitutional values, and international legal principles using a socio-legal and comparative methodology. It also looks at new issues related to digital intellectual property, works created by AI, and changing business models that are influencing the ownership and transfer of intangible assets. The essay makes the case that in order to protect the legitimate interests of creators and their heirs while making sure that inherited intellectual property does not unnecessarily obstruct innovation, competition, or fair access to knowledge, a balanced legal framework is necessary. It ends by promoting legislative changes that include the idea of intergenerational equality into the management of intellectual property inheritance.

Human trafficking is one of the most serious forms of organised crime and a major violation of human rights. It involves the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons through force, coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power or inducement for the purpose of exploitation. In India, human trafficking affects women, children and vulnerable sections of society, particularly those facing poverty, unemployment, social exclusion, lack of education and unsafe migration. Victims may be exploited for commercial sexual exploitation, forced labour, domestic servitude, begging, forced marriage and other forms of exploitation. The Government of India has adopted constitutional, legislative, administrative and welfare measures to prevent trafficking, prosecute traffickers and rehabilitate survivors. Important measures include Article 23 of the Constitution, the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976, Anti-Human Trafficking Units, the Ujjawala scheme, Mission Shakti and Shakti Sadan. The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, which came into force on 1 July 2024, contains a specific provision on trafficking of persons under Section 143. Despite these measures, challenges remain in identification, investigation, prosecution, inter-state coordination, victim rehabilitation and prevention. This article examines the nature and causes of human trafficking in India, its consequences, major government measures and suggestions for strengthening the response.

Sustainable development is a comprehensive and multidimensional concept that brings together economic progress, social justice, and environmental sustainability. The United Nations 2023 Agenda for Sustainable Development outlines 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed to tackle pressing global concerns such as poverty, hunger, gender inequality, health challenges, and climate change. At its core, sustainable development focuses on fulfilling present needs while safeguarding the ability of future generations to meet their own requirements. Achieving sustainability at the community level demands integrated strategies that promote economic self-reliance, environmental conversation, improved health and education, and social inclusion. Home Science, as an interdisciplinary subject, integrates areas such as nutrition, human development, textiles and clothing, resource management, and extension and communication. It addresses various dimensions of individual, family, and community life. Home Science contributes significantly to sustainable development by equipping communities with essential knowledge, life skills, and practical competencies that enhance health, nutrition, family welfare, and overall quality of life--especially for women and marginalized populations. This paper explores how Home Science supports sustainable livelihoods, encourages responsible environmental practices, strengthens gender equity, and enhances health security within communities. Adopting a descriptive and analytical research approach grounded in secondary sources and case-based analysis, the study highlights the major areas through which Home Science supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By combining scientific understanding with local knowledge and community practices, Home Science serves as an effective driver of change at the grassroots level. In the contemporary context, Home Science is recognized as a comprehensive and versatile field of study that addresses individual needs and interests while building the skills and capacities required for effective homemaking in a rapidly changing society.
