 Abstract

Staff turnover in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotels, remains a persistent challenge with significant implications for organizational performance and service quality. This paper delves into the complexities of this phenomenon, aiming to uncover its underlying causes, consequences, and potential solutions. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, this research seeks to shed light on the factors contributing to high turnover rates among hotel staff, including job dissatisfaction, low morale, inadequate compensation, and limited opportunities for career advancement. Additionally, it explores the ripple effects of staff turnover on organizational effectiveness, guest satisfaction, and overall reputation. By understanding the multifaceted nature of turnover in the hospitality sector, this study aims to provide valuable insights and practical strategies for hotel management to mitigate turnover rates, enhance employee retention, and ultimately foster a more stable and productive workforce.

The virtual environment can be used to address key limitations of traditional online shopping. It was not possible to try on the items. The architecture of the system is robust and seamless. There have been improvements in user engagement and return rates. Through extensive testing the platform has the potential to transform the future of online retail. It is an interactive and personalized shopping experience.

 Abstract

Purpose: The main intention of the present paper is know that how far the demographics of respondents impact on the study of microfinance activities. Further, the study is conducted to probe the factors driving social capital formation, factors driving women empowerment, impact of financial literacy on women empowerment and the different livelihood activities undertaken by the members. The women studies reveal that unless and until women are developed their empowerment programmes have no real meaning. Women's empowerment has been noticed as a pre-requisite condition to reduce poverty in developing nations (Aysha et al., 2018). Since independence the poverty alleviation programmes through government sponsored programmes could not yield expected result an in many cases and the implementation of welfare programmes could not trickle down to the level of poor who are living in the slums and outskirts. As a powerful tool microfinance also creates financial literacy among the SHG members. Methodology / Design: A well structured questionnaire was managed as schedule after considering the literacy level, incompleteness, rejection. A total 113 questionnaires were in the hand and out of this only 100 were usable one forming 88.49% success rate. Chi-square contingency co-efficient, Kendall's co-efficient of concordance, weighted arithmetic mean, Garrett Ranking Technique and MFLI were performed. The participants of the study include SHG members from 5 taluks selected SHGs. These participants were interviewed and the required data was collated. Findings: The study found that all demographics are supporting the study and there exist significant variation in the data. Mutual help in case of need, social relationship social trust and believing co-members are the drivers of social capital formation. The study also reveals about the ranked factors like savings formation, more self confidence and more awareness of political system, voting and context as the factors driving women empowerment. The financial literacy factors which impact on women empowerment includes in the order of ranking, better economic security as the first rank, the second rank being avoids taking poor financial decision and the third rank financially literate women take better decision during emergency. The livelihood activities undertaken by the respondents include construction worker as the first rank, the second rank awarded to vegetable selling and the third due to working in RMC Yard.

 Abstract

Oxidative stress is a result of variation in levels of antioxidants that act as protective shields. Lower levels of antioxidants lead to deterioration of healthy cells exposing them to reactive oxygen species, peroxyl radicals, peroxy nitrite, hydroxyl radicals, singlet oxygen and allied species. Many diseases associated with lack of antioxidants are Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, ischemic injury, cancer and premature ageing. Spirogyra majuscule found in Koppa of Chickmagaluru district was investigated for its antioxidant and spore germination inhibition activities. Dry mass of algae had 30.01 % moisture and 6.2 % of ash. Extractions were carried out using hot and sonicated methods. Sohxlet extract gave 21 % pet ether, 3.6 % protein, 25 % reducing sugar fractions. The sonicated extract had 13 % pet ether, 3.2 % protein and 31.3 % reducing sugar concentrations. The hot: sonicated extracts showed phenol (590 mg: 450 mg), Flavanoid (250:360), Antioxidant (54.8:50.7) and Reducing powers (0.050:0.045). The spore germination inhibition of both the extracts by cavity slide method, in comparison with standard fluconazole, exhibited an average of 95.5 % activity against Fusarium oxysporum and 90.5 % against Curvularia lunata.

Concern over environmental deterioration, which mostly manifests as pollution of various kinds in the air, water, and land as well as deforestation and soil erosion, has grown in recent years. Even while Indian corporations abide by environmental protection laws and regulations, there are currently no clear-cut policies established at the federal, state, or even corporate levels to guarantee the degree of adherence to environmental standards. .. "India currently has a deceased donation rate of 0.05 to 0.08 per million people." India lags far behind the US, where the cadaver donation rate has reached 25 per million people in 2010, according to statistics from the Council of Europe. The major problem is lack of awareness. Cadaver donation is not a familiar concept among the Indian public. Myths and misconceptions exist at large. High school students are key actors in the organ donation process. The knowledge and attitudes of this group are of great importance, because these individuals can influence their families in all aspects of organ donation and transplantation.

Constitution of India guaranteed the child rights against the employment of children in factory, mines or engagement in any other hazardous employment. Not only this, there are other constitutional provision and many legislations to protect the interest of children. As child labour is a vital issue for any developing countries like India or under developed countries or any developed countries. It is because almost one third of the world's population comprises of children. Children are important of the social structure and the potential future carries of the culture unfortunately, the problem of child labour is existing in our country. Children's are the gift of 'God'. Nature has given childhood, as a gift to human being. It is believed that childhood is an evidence of the faith of God in human being. So, the childhood of any child should not destroyed. "Dignity of labour is honour in hour of work culture" said by Mahatma Gandhi.
